Registered Psychotherapist- LGBTQ2+ affirming

“Ashley is a Certified Art Therapist and Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). She holds a Bachelors of Science from Queen’s University and a Graduate Diploma in Art Therapy from The Toronto Art Therapy Institute. Her passion is to engage with clients who are struggling with mental health issues in a meaningful and non-judgemental way. Art therapy is a helpful way to open up the conversation to such mental health issues because art can be honest and personal. In her practice, it is also used as a tool for stress reduction. Her approach has always been person-centered and trauma-informed, drawing from Mindfulness-based practices, CBT, narrative therapy, and inner child work. She has worked with people who experience the following issues:

Stress, self-esteem issues, adjustment difficulties, behavioural issues such as ADHD, anxiety, depression, grief, loss, and trauma.

She seeks to help people find meaning, purpose, and ultimately their true inner voice through the creative process. By cultivating and nurturing this inner voice, her goal is to see the client grow in maturity and find flourishing in all areas of life. She uses a variety of art mediums and teaches different art techniques, but mainly what is accessible for the client.”
