Sousan possesses 7 years of experience in the Mental Health field. Her professional experience includes assessing, treating and working collaboratively to support adult clients struggling with ADHD, Substance abuse, Depression, Stress, Anxiety, and Low self esteem. Sousan utilizes Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused and Existential Therapy interventions during clinical practice, customized to each patients individual and unique needs. Her main focus is to provide a safe and welcoming environment for patients to explore their emotional trauma, or symptoms of PTSD while maintaining respect, sensitivity and compassion towards each individual’s experiences. Her ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds enables Sousan to support clients who may be struggling with social, personal adjustment and mental health challenges impacting their personal and professional lives.

 

Education: Sousan’s educational training also includes suicide prevention, Motivational Interviewing and EMDR Advanced psychotherapy approach. Sousan is registered with the college of Psychologists of Ontario and holds a Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology.
