What Is Acupuncture?
This 3,000-year-old therapeutic approach provides safe and effective treatment for symptoms related to various mental health disorders such as symptoms of anxiety, depression, and stress. It is based on the belief that energy, called Qi, flows through the body in channels called meridians. If Qi does not flow freely through the body, this may cause illness. Acupuncture can help restore the flow of Qi in our bodies, eliminating stagnations. Our specialist will insert very fine needles in the key trigger points to impact the function of organs, glands, and muscles.
What makes East Asian Medicine so attractive for addressing mental and emotional disorders is the understanding the body and mind are interchangeable, interact and one influences the other. Our Acupuncturist works with the rest of the team to create a treatment plan that works in adjunct with other therapeutic modalities.
- Insertion of needles should be painless.
- It is a great complement to your therapy sessions
- It is effective to relieve stress and anxiety

What To Expect From Your Acupuncture Treatment?
Step 1 : Needle Insertion
We have trigger points or acupuncture points all over our body. Your specialist will advise you what area will be covered during the session. The insertion of the needles it usually not painful but you might feel a sensation of warmth when it reaches the correct depth.
Step 2 : Needle Manipulation
Sometimes your practitioner will slightly twirl the needles and leave them in place for about 15 minutes.
Step 3 : Needle Removal
The removal of the needles doesn’t cause discomfort. After your session you can expect to feel a great sense of relaxation, tension relief, or simply feel at peace.
