Registered Social Worker

Kathryn is a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Social Work and more than 15 years of experience supporting individuals and families across mental health, addictions, Indigenous services, and developmental services. Throughout her career, she has worked in a range of community and clinical settings, providing compassionate, client-centered care to individuals navigating complex life challenges.

Kathryn is deeply committed to walking alongside people during difficult seasons of life, creating a supportive and non-judgmental space where individuals feel heard, respected, and understood. Her work with diverse populations has reinforced the importance of meeting clients where they are and honoring each person’s unique lived experience, cultural identity, and personal strengths.

Her practice is grounded in a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and client-centered framework. Kathryn integrates a variety of evidence-informed therapeutic modalities into her work, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)–informed skills, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and mindfulness-based approaches. She also draws on principles of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and culturally responsive practice to support clients in developing insight, building coping strategies, and working toward meaningful and sustainable change.

Kathryn has particular areas of interest in supporting individuals experiencing ADHD, anxiety, depression, stress and burnout, life transitions, grief and loss, addiction and recovery, emotional regulation challenges, and self-esteem concerns. She is also passionate about supporting individuals navigating complex systems and advocating for equitable, accessible care for marginalized communities.

Her practice style is collaborative, compassionate, and practical. Kathryn works with clients to identify their goals, build on existing strengths, and develop tools that promote resilience, emotional wellbeing, and personal growth. She believes that healing happens within safe and trusting relationships and strives to create a therapeutic environment where clients feel empowered to explore their experiences and move forward with confidence.
