Dr. Nadia Pershad

Dr. Pershad is an experienced Psychologist with a demonstrated history of working in both private and public health care spheres. Skilled in Clinical Practice, Supervision, Clinical Management, Consultation, and Program-Development. Dr. Pershad has an extensive background in professional settings that include: Private Individual and Group Practice, Corporate Mental Health Care Organizations, and Addiction Treatment.

Dr. Pershad specializes in the clinical areas of mood and anxiety, trauma, stress, sleep, addiction, ADD, and relationship issues. Using a holistic, collaborative approach, treatment is individualized with each client in mind and their therapeutic goals.

Virginia Báez Landestoy

She has worked for over 11 years in the mental health field in the Dominican Republic and more recently in Canada. Throughout her practice, Virginia has supported adults struggling with symptoms resulting from trauma, depression, anxiety, stress, domestic abuse, and life transitions. Virginia tailors the treatment according to the client’s needs from an integrative perspective that includes Mindfulness, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, and Systemic Therapy. Based on the premise that every person is unique, Virginia focuses on creating a relaxed, safe, respectful, and warm atmosphere to establish a solid foundation for collaborative work towards healing.

Corrine has worked with individuals who have experienced painful traumatic lives, grief, and painful emotion states, including depression, anxiety, anger, shame and guilt. She has helped individuals with drug and alcohol addictions, and individuals who struggle with debilitating chronic pain. Stress, life transitions, and workplace burnout are also of professional interest to her, as well as personal growth and development. She draws from many psychotherapeutic modalities including CBT, mindfulness, emotion-focused and motivational interviewing. Her desire is to provide a safe, non-judgmental environment, so that you feel free to explore your difficult life situations and emotions. As a psychotherapist she will facilitate a process of self-exploration, insight, and change, in order to improve the quality of your life, and overcome difficult life problems.

Dr. Jack Muskat

Dr. Muskat is a Toronto-based organizational psychologist with significant consulting experience working with Fortune 500 companies. His clinical practice focuses on issues relating stress, anxiety, and depression, as well as interpersonal relationships. He offers a deep understanding of how workplace stressors affect personal health and well-being and provides clients with insights and tools to better function both at home and work. Dr. Muskat received his Ph.D. in Applied Psychology from the University of Toronto, and is a registered psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

Since completing his training, Dr. Lake has been working with adults across private practice and hospital settings. He primarily uses a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approach but integrates other evidence-based techniques into his treatment. Dr. Lake currently assesses and treats adults who present with depression and anxiety issues, workplace or school stress, sleep issues, ADHD, chronic pain, PTSD, relationship/family difficulties, substance abuse and learning disabilities. He uses a holistic, collaborative approach tailored to each client to help them effectively cope with their struggles, achieve their treatment goals, and improve their overall quality of life.

Education: He completed his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Queensland. Dr. Lake is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) and a member of the Ontario Psychological Association.

Dr. Andriy Samokhvalov’s work, both clinical and research, is mainly focused on addictions and concurrent disorders, but as a practicing physician, as a researcher, and simply as an inquisitive person, he has a strong interest in healthy living and fitness. He currently also practices as a Psychiatrist and Clinician Scientist with the Addiction Medicine Service and the Institute for Mental Health Policy Research at CAMH. In addition, he is the Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto and Medical Director at Homewood Health.

Sarah is trained in CBT, DBT, Narrative, Brief-Solution Focused, motivational interviewing, and mindfulness.

Sarah practices from a strength-based, holistic approach and offers her clients a safe space to unpack their concerns. She encompasses compassion and empathy in her client interactions and holds herself to a high standard of practice. Ongoing education and training are part of something that takes a priority in her work to provide the best practice approach to each person she works with.

Sydney has a diploma in social work and is a registered social service worker. She most recently completed a certificate for concurrent disorders and has experience working in addiction treatment. Sydney is working towards obtaining her Masters in Psychology and aspires to further her ability to provide therapeutic care. Sydney has a passion for mental health and wellness, she is happy to assist clients on their journey to well-being.


Haileigh Talbot

Haileigh is responsible for Patient experience and Clinic operations. As. Mental Performance Consultant and a current student of Master’s In Psychology, she is knowledgeable about treatment modalities and skilled at helping clients navigate their therapeutic journey.

Haileigh has extensive experience and knowledge working with various practitioners, treatments, modalities, and care plans. She takes a holistic approach to wellness and believes in the importance of the mind-body connection. Her outside work as a Mental Performance Consultant makes her well trained in mental skills (goal setting, mindfulness, focus, confidence, stress-management, emotional regulation), counselling theories, and facilitating client development. Her warm, caring, and dedicated attitude ensures a seamless experience for all new and existing clients and practitioners into the BeWell family.

Education: Haileigh holds a degree in Human Kinetics with a specialization in Sport Psychology from Laurentian University and a master’s in Human Kinetics with a specialization in Consulting and Intervention Strategies from the University of Ottawa. She also has training in Mental Health First Aid and is a professional member of the Canadian Sport Psychology Association. She ic currently a student in the Master of Psychology program at Yorkville University.

She has worked in many facets of healthcare including cancer care, laboratory diagnostics, vaccine operations, and multidisciplinary clinics. In BeWell, Alanna assists in client operations, offering support with appointments and extraneous challenges throughout the wellness journey.


Nishith Pandya


Nishith has been working as a counsellor over the past 6 years. Nishith has worked with diverse populations experiencing mental health difficulties such as substance abuse, concurrent disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, and mood disorders. Nishith operates through a client-centred approach, with a commitment to practice through an anti-oppression and non-judgmental framework. In practice, Nishith utilizes evidence-based practices whilst working collaboratively with clients to achieve their therapeutic goals.

Nishith’s clinical approach is embedded within modalities such as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness. Grace is a registered Psychological Associate with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She obtained her Master’s Degree in the field of clinical and forensic psychology in 1986. She has many years of experience in the areas of rehabilitation and clinical psychology. She has obtained intense training in the field of rehabilitation psychology. She is affiliated with several rehabilitation clinics as a senior clinician, providing therapy and counselling to patients with chronic pain problems, and a variety of psychological impairments related to motor vehicle accidents, work injuries or long-term disabilities. She is a certified Pain Disability Prevention Program provider.

She has been working with patients suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder, somatic disorders, ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, and phobias. She builds a very strong therapeutic relationship with her patients. Nichole has worked with children, youth, and their families over the last three years, using Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, CBT, Family-Based Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Therapy approaches. She has a drive and passion to support those who are suffering from mental, emotional, and behavioural challenges by providing a safe space to talk and come up with ways to manage these challenges within their daily lives.

She currently works with children and youth who experience eating disorders alongside mental health challenges. Furthermore, Nichole’s main areas of focus include ADHD, depression, anxiety, eating disorders, family conflict, psychosis, substance abuse, behavioural challenges, and emotional regulation.

She has the capacity to manage challenging moments by using de-escalation and skill support (skills coaching/teaching). Her skillset allows for families and youth to feel more confident in communicating their emotions and helps to increase emotional regulation. She enjoys supporting youth and families by providing them with tangible and educational worksheets to help them manage within their homes.

Nichole’s educational background is Child and Youth Care Studies at Mohawk College and an Honour’s Bachelor of Social Work at Wilfrid Laurier University.

Daniella is a registered Social Worker whose main passion is to support individuals in their journey to overcome their challenges. She truly believes when individuals are provided with the proper resources and guidance from their community during times of uncertainty, they will have the proper tools to flourish and achieve their lifelong goals. Daniella has worked with many individuals from various walks of life and has experience supporting them with depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, isolation, loneliness, panic disorders, and family therapy.

Daniella currently works within the geriatric community, specifically those with Alzheimer’s and dementia by providing resources and short-term therapy to them and their loved ones. She also has experience working with individuals who were unfortunately involved in a motor vehicle accident.

Daniella approaches therapy as a healing process, providing an inclusive space to talk through concerns, validate emotions, and implement skills when needed. She primarily uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) interventions, as well as Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), and mindfulness to help tackle unhelpful thoughts and provide skills to better assist with managing stressful situations. As someone who loves to add to her toolbox, she continues to seek ongoing updates to her skills and knowledge base.

Our traumatic experiences have shaped the way we think, act, and interact with people close to us. However, with the right guidance and support, we can improve, heal, and learn to love life and cherish moments of happiness!

She has been providing both therapy and assessment in public sector and private practice for several years. Luminita also has extensive experience in psychological assessments used in legal contexts and has provided expert testimony in court proceedings.

She has worked in a variety of settings during her career and training, including hospitals, corrections, community agencies, schools, child and youth services, and private practice settings. Additionally, she has been engaged in supervision of graduate level students and has appeared as a guest presenter at conferences and as part of community education and outreach programs.

Luminita works with adults, adolescents, and children. Her main areas of focus and expertise include stress, depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationships and parenting, domestic violence, sexual abuse, trauma, PTSD, occupational stress, sleep, chronic pain, OCD, phobias, and couples/marital counselling. Laura is our Marketing Manager for all the BeWell clinics. While being an advocate for wellness and mental health, Laura oversees all our communication channels, messaging, and service offerings to ensure positive experiences at every stage of the patients’ cycle.

With an extensive background in Marketing and communications, Laura ties in all the internal departments and processes to bring a unified approach to our practice: placing our patients’ wellbeing at the core of everything we do. Her aim is to support our patients throughout their mental wellness journey with different online tools and resources. Additionally, she closely works with our skilled practitioners to ensure that all our communication channels are up to date with the most current research and clinical information on mental health aid. Lastly, she holds a degree in Marketing and Supply Chain Operations Management and has volunteered on several community projects to improve the health of lower income neighbourhoods.

Sarah is our Clinic Administrator at BeWell Health Clinic. She is passionate about educating patients about the services we offer alongside providing top-teir customer service. If you emailed, called, or texted us, chances are you’ve spoken to them! In addition to our Therapist staff, also supports our Psychiatrist Dr Samir Gandhi and oversees the referral and patient management process. Sarah is a certified Thanadoula and is currently working on their Masters degree in Gender, Feminist, and Women’s Studies at York University. She looks forward to continuing to help you on your wellness journey.
