Our Therapeutic Approach
At NourishED, we combine Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to provide a comprehensive and effective treatment plan for eating disorders.
These two evidence-based modalities work together to address both the behaviors and the underlying emotions connected to disordered eating.
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
Helps clients identify and reframe unhelpful thoughts and beliefs about food, body image, and self-worth. By challenging these patterns, clients develop healthier behaviors and greater confidence in daily life.
Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT)
Focuses on building practical skills in emotion regulation, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and mindfulness. These tools help clients manage intense emotions, reduce urges, and strengthen relationships.
