Dr. Anusha Venugopal

Clinical Counselling Psychologist

Dr. Venugopal has over 14 years of clinical experience working in outpatient and inpatient settings, schools, and private practice. She has expertise in the areas of assessment and psychotherapy. Dr. Venugopal works with adults, adolescents, and the parent population. She has a specific interest in parent skill training with special needs children. Dr. Venugopal has experience in assessments involving workplace incidents, motor vehicle accidents, Veteran Affairs Canada disability, and private/independent clients.

 

Her interest includes various presenting complaints like anxiety, depression, anger issues, trauma, adjustment issues, self-esteem, relationship issues, stress management, workplace disability, and return to work challenges. Dr. Venugopal operates from approaches such as CBT, Humanistic, trauma-informed, and she is a certified trained clinician in EMDR.

 

Education: Dr. Venugopal is a Registered Clinical Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). She has a Ph.D. in Clinical  Psychology from the University of Mumbai, India.

With over 20 years of experience, Sarah offers a compassionate, strength-based, holistic therapy space that supports youth, adults, families, and parents. She is trained in CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. In addition to her professional role, Sarah is also a mom, which brings an added depth of empathy and understanding to her work with children and families.
