Peter is a highly skilled psychotherapist with a rich and varied background that encompasses education, the arts, military service, and security. He integrates strengths-based and solution-focused models, along with narrative therapy and motivational interviewing, while also drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and elements of Internal Family Systems (IFS). His approach is grounded in a client-centered framework, ensuring tailored, compassionate care for each individual.
Peter’s practice is dedicated to working with seniors, military personnel, veterans, and students. His background in education and the arts has cultivated a deep sense of creativity and empathy, enabling him to connect with the complexities of the human experience. His military and security experience has refined his skills in leadership, teamwork, strategic problem-solving, and crisis management—critical elements that shape his approach to mental health and well-being.
Recently, Peter has developed a strong interest in supporting clients newly diagnosed with ADHD, guiding them through their challenges with understanding and empowerment. He is deeply committed to creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients can explore their struggles, discover their strengths, and foster meaningful mental health transformations.
Peter holds a Master’s in Social Work and a Master’s in Education, and he is also a graduate of the prestigious National Theatre School of Canada. A former member of the Stratford Festival of Canada, Peter continues to serve as an officer in the Naval Reserves. His diverse experiences uniquely equip him to approach mental health with creativity, empathy, and strategic insight.
