Reem believes healing happens in safe relationships and deeply values the therapeutic relationship as sacred to the healing process. She honours the courage it takes to pursue therapy and seek meaningful growth. She works collaboratively with clients to explore their inner world, feel more connected to themselves and others, and navigate life’s challenges with curiosity and compassion.
As a person of colour and second-generation immigrant, Reem understands the complexity of cultural identity, intergenerational experiences, and systemic barriers. She takes a holistic, culturally sensitive approach that fosters empowerment, compassion, and authentic connection.
Her therapy style is person-centered, relational, and trauma-informed, integrating elements of compassion-focused therapy, solution-focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). She supports individuals experiencing anxiety, body image concerns, disordered eating, cross-cultural challenges, life transitions, and trauma.
Reem is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and holds an Honours Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Toronto Mississauga and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Addictions and Mental Health from Humber College. She is currently pursuing a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
