Does OHIP cover Psychology, Psychotherapy, and Social Work services?

OHIP does not cover Psychology, Psychotherapy, or Social Work services. The provincial health plan is applicable only to medical doctors and nurses. Medication management and Psychiatry services at BeWell are covered by OHIP. To see our Psychiatrists, your family doctor or primary care physician must complete our Psychiatry Referral form. Please keep in mind that across the province there are wait times for Psychiatry of up to six months. We do our best to book patients as promptly as possible.
