Dr. Venugopal has over 14 years of clinical experience working in outpatient and inpatient settings, schools, and private practice. She has expertise in the areas of assessment and psychotherapy. Dr. Venugopal works with adults, adolescents, and the parent population. She has a specific interest in parent skill training with special needs children. Dr. Venugopal has experience in assessments involving workplace incidents, motor vehicle accidents, Veteran Affairs Canada disability, and private/independent clients.

 

Her interest includes various presenting complaints like anxiety, depression, anger issues, trauma, adjustment issues, self-esteem, relationship issues, stress management, workplace disability, and return to work challenges. Dr. Venugopal operates from approaches such as CBT, Humanistic, trauma-informed, and is currently undergoing training in EMDR.

 

Education: Dr. Venugopal is a Registered Clinical Psychologist under supervised practice with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO). She has a Ph.D. in Clinical  Psychology from the University of Mumbai, India.
