Psychological Associate

Carol Cavaliere is a Psychological Associate who takes a collaborative, integrative, and evidence-based approach to treatment, drawing from Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT). She works closely with clients to clarify concerns, identify meaningful goals, and develop practical strategies for change.

With an empathic and non-judgmental style, Carol strives to create a safe and supportive space where clients feel comfortable exploring difficult emotions and experiences. In her work, she helps clients strengthen their capacity to understand and manage emotions, cultivate self-compassion, and develop more secure and satisfying connections in their relationships.

Carol supports adults experiencing depression, anxiety, trauma, and challenges related to emotion regulation, life transitions, intimacy, and interpersonal relationships. She is committed to helping clients deepen self-understanding, build resilience, and move toward more fulfilling and connected lives. She has worked with adults in both outpatient and inpatient hospital settings, with particular experience in psychodiagnostic assessment and individual and group psychotherapy.

Education: Carol is registered with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario. She holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from York University and completed her residency with the Royal Ottawa Health Care Group.
