Everett Lawrence Adams II (E. L.) has worked with youth and parents in the United States and now in Canada in school, university and private settings. He helps to support youth by providing counselling, psychoeducational assessments and groups for challenges with school achievement, learning disabilities, goal setting, ADHD, perfectionistic thinking, developing social skills, anxiety, depression, poor self-concept, sports performance, assertiveness and boundaries, social skills, behaviour, post-high school decision making and executive functioning skills.

E. L. mainly uses cognitive behavioural therapy but also uses other approaches such as cognitive therapy, exposure therapy, social skills building, music and lyrical-based activities, solution-focused therapy, acceptance, mindfulness techniques and other evidence-based approaches. He works in a client-centred approach and looks to guide students and parents to obtain the 3 Cs (clarity, change and comfort) to achieve growth. He offers a safe, non-judgmental atmosphere to allow for a steady, yet challenging pace to explore challenges and effective coping skills to better manage social, emotional and academic hurdles that impact daily functioning.

E. L. is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (CPO) and The College of Alberta Psychologists (CAP). He obtained a Master’s Degree in educational and counselling psychology and an Educational Specialist degree at Tennessee Technological University.For fun, E. L. loves spending time with family and friends. He enjoys being active, playing and watching basketball, listening to music and watching movies.
