Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) | Registered Nurse

When life feels heavy, the right support can create space for healing, growth, and meaningful change.

Jaime is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a Registered Nurse, bringing a unique perspective on the mind-body connection and a holistic approach to care. She offers a strengths-based, person-centred approach, providing thoughtful, individualized counselling tailored to each client’s needs, values, and goals in a safe, grounded environment.

Her background in emergency, mental health, and Northern nursing has shaped her deep understanding of front-line healthcare and its challenges. Through her experience, Jaime has supported individuals navigating anxiety, substance use, depression, burnout, and complex chronic illness, which has informed her compassionate and trauma-aware approach to care.

Jaime draws on an eclectic, trauma-informed framework, integrating cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT), narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based and somatic approaches to support meaningful and sustainable change. Her work emphasizes developing practical coping strategies, supporting trauma processing, promoting nervous system regulation, and increasing self-awareness, while empowering clients to reconnect with their inner strength and build resilience.

Jaime collaborates with clients as a guide, while empowering them as the experts in their own lives. She works at a pace that feels safe and manageable, building a therapeutic relationship grounded in trust, respect, and authenticity. She approaches her practice with cultural humility, recognizing how culture and systemic factors shape each person’s experience, and strives to create a space where clients feel respected, understood, and safe to show up as their absolute selves.
