Dr. Jeffrey Skowron

Clinical Director - Child and Youth Services, Psychologist, Registered Behaviour Analyst

Dr. Skowron has over 30 years of experience working in clinical settings serving children and youth. These have included hospitals, mental health clinics, private special education schools for children with autism or acquired brain injury, and ABA service agencies. Additionally, he has held university faculty positions in graduate training programs in mental health counseling and applied behaviour analysis and has a very strong interest in supervising and mentoring students and early-career clinicians.
 
Dr. Skowron has specific expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders, disruptive behavior disorders, tic disorders, and “pickyeaters.” He is very interested in working with children with difficulties with early acquisition and use of language and social communication skills. Though he is experienced and comfortable providing services to children and adolescents of
all ages, Jeff has a particular interest in working with toddler and preschool age populations.

 
Education: Dr. Skowron completed his M.S. and Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst (USA), from where he also has a B.S. degree in Sociology. Dr. Skowron is a registered Clinical Psychologist with the College of Psychologists and Behavior Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). He is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst-Doctoral Level (BCBA-D) and is a Registered Behaviour Analyst with the CPBAO.
 
Dr. Skowron relocated to Canada from the US with his wife and dog in 2025, having spent all his life living and working in the New England states. Outside of work, he enjoys playing ice hockey, hiking and camping, traveling with his wife, fly fishing, playing videogames, and cooking foods from different world cuisines.
 
Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Skowron plays a key role as a Clinical Supervisor within our practice.

SARAH SCHWALM Registered Psychotherapist

With over 20 years of experience, Sarah offers a compassionate, strength-based, holistic therapy space that supports youth, adults, families, and parents. She is trained in CBT, DBT, Narrative Therapy, Brief Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness. In addition to her professional role, Sarah is also a mom, which brings an added depth of empathy and understanding to her work with children and families.

SHIRI BARTMAN Psychologist & BCBA

Shiri is a dually registered Clinical Psychologist and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst. She has extensive experience working with neurodivergent children, teens, and their families, including conducting developmental, diagnostic and psychoeducational assessments.
