Juan has been specializing in the treatment of eating disorders since 2018, working with youth and adults across the spectrum of restrictive, binge, and body-image-related presentations.
He is ACT-primary in his approach, drawing on Dr. Emily Sandoz’s contextual behavioural model, with CBT-E serving as a conceptual map for eating disorder work; his training also draws on FBT, DBT, and ARFID-informed approaches.
Juan’s style is warm, patient, and genuinely curious — he creates a space where clients feel met without judgment, and where difficult feelings around food, body, and relationships can be held gently rather than rushed past. He helps clients make room for what’s hard while still moving toward the life and relationships that matter to them. As a native Spanish speaker from Argentina, Juan brings a bilingual, culturally attuned lens to his work with Spanish-speaking clients and families.
Education:Juan received his Psychology Degree from Favaloro University in Argentina. He is registered with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), and holds an International Certificate in Contextual Behavioural Psychotherapies.
