Registered Dietitian

Maurya is a Registered Dietitian with experience supporting children, adolescents, and families navigating eating disorders and other pediatric nutrition challenges. She is known for her warm, evidence-based approach, offering creative, compassionate solutions tailored to her clients’ goals and lived experience.

Central to her practice is the belief that forming a neutral, relaxed relationship with food in childhood helps promote lifelong wellbeing. Taking a non-diet, weight-neutral approach, Maurya works collaboratively with the whole family system, recognizing that caregivers are essential partners in supporting their child’s progress. At the same time, she is mindful of the growing autonomy of older children and teens, empowering them to take an active role in meeting their own nutritional goals.

Maurya has experience working with diverse eating disorder presentations including disordered eating, anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and ARFID. She supports families navigating selective eating, growth and weight concerns, and other nutrition-related challenges. Maurya approaches each case with an understanding of the unique pressures families face, working collaboratively to develop practical, individualized strategies that support both the child and the family system. She draws on evidence-based techniques, including Intuitive Eating and Motivational Interviewing, and brings experience across research, clinical, community, and mental health nutrition settings in supporting her clients.

Education: Maurya is registered with the College of Dietitians of Ontario (CDO). She completed her undergraduate degree in Dietetics at McGill University and holds a Master of Science in Nutritional Sciences from the University of Toronto.
