Ravia Habeeb is a supervised student practitioner and a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO). She has almost four years of experience on the national suicide hotline working with individuals experiencing thoughts of suicide, suicidal attempts, and suicide loss. She has experience working with individuals exposed to the effects of severe trauma, involvement in the legal system, various kinds of behavioural disorders, and mental illnesses such as borderline personality disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, major depressive disorder, and schizophrenia.
Ravia takes a strength-based integrative approach using various modalities such as Person-Centred Therapy (PCT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Humanistic Therapy, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT).
Education: Ravia is completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University and previously completed a Bachelor of Arts, Honours, in Psychology from York University. Additionally, she has completed her training in Suicide Assessment and Safety Planning and has certifications from the Mental Health Academy on Personality Disorders, Integrative Harm Reduction Psychotherapy, and Interrupting Intergenerational Trauma in Substance Use Disorders.
