Sabrina is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and holds more than 7 years of experience working with vulnerable and marginalized populations in different non-profit settings. Sabrina has supported individuals who are experiencing intimate partner violence, survivors of sexual assault, human trafficking and other traumas, individuals who use substances, have experienced childhood trauma, have precarious housing situations, and are involved in the legal system. She has helped individuals who struggle with stress, self-worth and esteem, life transitions, anxiety, depression, PTSD, grief, emotional regulation, relationship issues, and panic disorders.
At the core of her work, Sabrina utilizes a strength-based person-centered approach. Her guiding principles of practice consist of fostering a safe, non-judgmental, genuine, empathic, and unconditional positive regard environment for clients to explore their difficult situations and emotions.
She draws on the following therapeutic modalities and approaches: Trauma-Informed, Feminism, Biopsychosocial Model, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT).
Education: Sabrina is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). Sabrina holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminology and Psychology and is currently wrapping up her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
