Samantha believes therapy is a space where you can slow down, feel truly understood, and reconnect with yourself. She takes a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach, creating a space where clients feel safe to explore their experiences without judgment. She believes clients are the experts in their own lives and meets each person where they are, working together to process life experiences, better understand their emotions and patterns, and feel more connected to themselves.
Her approach is integrative and trauma-informed, drawing from Somatic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Internal Family Systems-informed approaches. She takes a well-rounded approach to understanding each client, recognizing the connection between the mind, body, emotions, behaviours, and relationships. With a particular emphasis on anxiety and the nervous system, Samantha incorporates somatic and evidence-based approaches to help clients develop greater self-awareness, emotional regulation, resilience, and a stronger sense of safety within themselves.
Samantha has a particular interest in supporting clients experiencing anxiety, chronic stress, panic, trauma, grief, depression, burnout, life transitions, self-esteem concerns, relationship difficulties, emotional dysregulation, and identity exploration. She works with children, adolescents, and adults and is committed to providing affirming, inclusive, and individualized care. Her style is gentle and collaborative while also being practical and skills-focused, offering clients tools they can carry with them beyond the therapy room.
