My approach to therapy is rooted in curiosity, self-compassion, and a genuine belief in your capacity to heal. I strive to create a warm, welcoming space where you feel safe, heard, and deeply valued. To me, therapy is not about quick fixes; it’s a collaborative journey toward meaningful, lasting change.
For over seven years, I have been immersed in the eating disorder field through research translation, community outreach, and psychotherapy. This experience has shaped my understanding of the complex factors that contribute to disordered eating. While food and eating behaviours may be the most visible part of the struggle, I believe eating disorders are rarely just about food. Often, they develop as a way of coping with deeper emotional pain, unmet needs, difficult life experiences, or emotions that feel overwhelming to navigate alone.
My goal is not simply to reduce symptoms, but to help you understand the role the eating disorder has played in your life, heal the underlying wounds, and build a more peaceful relationship with food, your body, and yourself. In addition to working with eating disorders, I support people struggling with trauma, borderline personality disorder, and anxiety.
I draw from Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and psychodynamic approaches to meet you where you are. Together, we’ll co-create a treatment plan that honours your unique needs, values, and goals, supporting you in becoming a more grounded, compassionate, and connected version of yourself.
