Shahrukh has been working in the mental health field supporting children, youth, and families for over 6 years within multiple settings like community-based agencies, hospitals, and private practices while working with diverse populations. When working with individuals, children, and families, Shahrukh’s focus is to use creative and expressive therapeutic approaches, while prioritizing a client-centered approach.
Being an immigrant herself and being able to fluently communicate in both Urdu and Punjabi, Shahrukh values practicing from a culturally sensitive and culturally adaptive therapeutic lens.Shahrukh is an MSW, RSW who earned her Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University, specializing in mental health.
