Our three clinics are conveniently located in the South Mississauga, Financial District of Toronto, and Corktown/Durand area of Hamilton. We offer comprehensive outpatient services that focus on Assessment and Treatment/management for Addictions, Mood Disorders, Personality Disorders, Eating Disorders, ADHD, and more. Our clinics address diverse issues across various populations, including children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families.
About You
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Child Therapist to join our team, providing specialized support for children aged 12 and older. This position offers an opportunity to work with young clients in a clinical setting, focusing on mental health, sports performance consulting, and ADHD management. The ideal candidate will have experience working with adolescents and young athletes, and a passion for empowering youth through evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Schedule & Compensation
- Minimum 3-4 days a week with 20+ hours availability at our Mississauga location.
- Evening availability needed between 4:30 PM to 6:30 PM.
- Compensation: $85/hr
Responsibilities
- Provide individual therapy to children aged 12+ with a focus on sports performance consulting and ADHD-related concerns.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand each client’s needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and sports psychology principles to support clients’ emotional and behavioral well-being.
- Collaborate with parents, coaches, and other professionals involved in the client’s care to ensure a cohesive and supportive environment.
- Provide consultation and guidance to young athletes to enhance their mental focus, emotional regulation, and overall performance.
- Maintain detailed clinical notes and documentation in accordance with industry standards.
- Stay up to date with current research and best practices in child therapy, ADHD, and sports performance psychology.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Registered Psychotherapist (RP) or Registered Social Worker (RSW) in good standing with a governing body.
- 2+ years of experience working with children, particularly those with ADHD and/or involved in competitive sports.
- Strong understanding of ADHD and its impact on emotional and behavioral functioning in adolescents.
- Experience in sports performance consulting and the application of psychological principles to improve athletic performance.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and community partners.

Compensation
- BeWell Health Center offers a range of competitive compensation consistent with your level of credentialing. Examples of compensation packages include; guaranteed daily rate, base-salary, or practitioner split models.
